Eiland Korcula

Het eiland Korcula ligt in de zuidelijke regio Dalmatië in Kroatië en biedt een mediterraan klimaat en een adembenemend natuurlandschap. Via de snelweg landinwaarts rijdt u naar een van de veerhavens zoals Split en neemt u vervolgens een van de veerboten naar Korcula. De twee grootste steden op het eiland Korcula zijn de gelijknamige stad Korcula en de havenstad Vela Luka. Slechts een paar kilometer van de stad Korcula ligt de badplaats Lumbarda met zijn unieke zandstrand. In het oude centrum van de stad Korcula zijn tal van bezienswaardigheden te bewonderen en de flair van de vele cafés en restaurants in verband met de Romeinse bouwstijlen is adembenemend. Maar ook de vele kleinere plaatsen die verspreid liggen over het hele eiland Korcula, zijn ideaal voor wie op zoek is naar een rustige vakantiebestemming.

Vela Luka

De prachtige stad Vela Luka ligt aan de westkust van het eiland Korcula, ongeveer 45 km ten westen van de gelijknamige stad Korcula in de regio Dalmatië. Hoewel de stad Korcula de bekendste plaats van het eiland is, is Vela Luka met zijn 4500 inwoners de grootste en biedt daarmee ook een breed scala aan diverse toeristische attracties.
