Split
Split is de grootste en belangrijkste stad in Dalmatië met prachtige stranden tegen een historisch decor. Naast de "big city flair" biedt de culturele metropool Split prachtige zand- en kiezelstranden niet ver van de historische oude stad, daarom is Split en de omgeving een geliefde vakantiebestemming. Bezienswaardig zijn de brede boulevard, het Poljud Stadion en de Muren van het Romeinse Paleis. De boulevard "Riva" aan het water van Split, gebouwd in de tijd van de Fransen bezetting werd ongeveer 200 jaar geleden gecreëerd, begint direct onder de muren van het paleis van Diocletianus en leidt naar het westen, bijna naar de hellingen van de lokale berg van Split, de Marjan.
